Wednesday!!

Today is Wednesday and it is 8:30! That means tomorrow is Thursday and the week is almost history! We are gearing up for a fun filled weekend with family and nice fall weather!
It is also the day I spent in K'ville learning about visual impaired students. The man we are learning from is a genius, or at least we (Mrs. *%&@!$) and I think he is. The things he teaches us are very interesting to know, and I will let out a secret- the Braille machine totally intrigues my little mind. The worst part was he even set it very close to me and my little fingers were trying to touch it, but I did hold them back this time!!!

Girls Day

As most of you know, I don' t get away a lot with other ladies to do ladies things, other than golf, or sewing club! Well so I get my share of time, however not like yesterday!
My husband has been gone 7 days and most of you know that, he went with a buddy. Well therefore yesterday, Saturday, the buddy he went with is married and his wife, is a shopper. She likes to shop, used to live close to Iowa City and she is a bargin hunter. So we went shopping in Iowa City!!
It was fun and we visited the two large consignment shops and I came home with a new wardrobe some new shoes and some things for the kids and a new family outfit for family pictures in a few weeks!! Thank you to mother and father who kept my children yesterday!! I am kind of excited to get up in the morning and wear a new shirt to work!!!

Wow

Wow, just the other day I blogged about the word "listen," yes how many times a day I say it, repeat it, or just stop and think, "wow, it is loud in the kindergarten room with 19 kids!" Even at home sometimes there is nothing that resembles the quiet, peacefulness that some people have everyday.
Well I wasn't complaining the other day, but you should listen at my house right now! Tayden is 5 and in Kindergarten. He is really tired most evenings and he is asleep in his room, he was in trouble on the way home so therefore he had a timeout, well the timeout turned into a small nap.
Tucker who likes to play (thanks Gma Nikki for helping pick up the toy room last night). He is playing with the cars and trucks. So I am having a quiet time at my house!!!

Some of you might wonder were the baby pictures are, but I lost my pictures on a computer crash, yes I have pictures because I have prints, but no I don't have them all on my computer anymore, therefore you won't see many baby pics, unless I scan some!!
Also we have been in this house since July 2007- therefore all of these pictures are from this house.

FRIDAY

Yes it is Friday and wow it has been a full week! This is the first full week of school I have taught, we have been sick a day, the dentist a day and this week and next week are the only 2 full five day workweeks I will work until the end of October! I have a few conferences to attend in October to better serve a student of mine, I also have a dentist day with Tayden in October and a Professional Development day!!
Therefore I will successfully make it through the next couple of weeks!
The next 9 days could be a challenge for my family of 4. Daddy Brandon is going to leave tonight after golf to go to Mule Deer Hunting, he is excited, but I believe a couple little boys might miss him later in the week!!!
It is time to begin work so... HAVE A GREAT FRIDAY!

Walks

Well, I have accomplished a new defeat, I have taken a picture on my camera, sent it to the online album and now I am blogging about it, wow, I am getting the technology all figured out. I also thought the picture was way cute, however this one doesn't look that great, but rome wasn't built in a day either! So I took this picture on our walk tonight, we go on walks after supper, Tayden rides his bike and Tucker still gets to ride in the stroller, or his legs get really tired, we have tried it!! Well I like the picture next to Grandpas corn field.

Listen

Listen...
you should listen to the noise in my bathroom, right now (kids in the tub)
you should count how many times a day I say listen in my classroom
you should drive home with a loving sister with the same profession as me and listen
you should watch t.v a few minutes at night and listen to others
you should listen to the constant noise in my day to day life
I should spent more time at school listening
I love to listen to great stories and miracles
I love to listen to my kids say, "Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite, Mommy!"
I also love to listen to the boys call each other, "buddy"
you should listen when the boys find my whistle in the car

It is amazing to me how easy it is to forget just to enjoy the moment and listen, when I am grumpy, grouchy, tired or just plain tired of NOISE!!!!

Yes today is a day where i just want to mute things and have some silence!

Thoughts

Well yesterday, I decided to clean our very messy dusty house and even the boys cleaned the play room, then we headed to two different parks to play and golfed. Their daddy golfed in a men golf outing yesterday! I started to clean and do laundry, then it hit me, "I might as well sort clothes and get our Tucker 4T winter clothes!"
As I started, it was a little sad, this summer I cleaned the basement and got rid of all clothes under 3T!! Well instead of putting those 3T clothes that came out of Tuckers room downstairs like I normally would I boxed them up and sent them to other little people!! That is okay with me, but the sad challenging part was washing the 4T and putting them in the new drawers, I think it is a challenge because those are the big boy clothes, they are the clothes that Tayden wore when Tucker was a baby(toddler). They are some of the clothes Tayden wore his first days of Preschool, they are the clothes that Tayden wore when he puts on camo and goes with Daddy for hours.
I just felt a little sad getting those clothes out for Tucker. He is the smallest and I will do my best not to baby him, but it is a little hard, especially when I have days like yesterday.

So... turning a new leaf, that I have been working on for a few months. TREAT TUCKER LIKE A BOY!! HE is 3 1/2 and there is no reason to baby him. EXPECT THE SAME OUT OF HIM AS I DO TAYDEN!!!

I will do my best, but man it is a challenge!! I need all the support I can get! (right Les?)

Vacation

Well we kind of took a mini vacation last weekend, we rented cabins at the McGowen Farm (we got married there also) and part of Brandon's family camped, therefore we talked, ate, golfed, and enjoyed ourselves and the kids, Friday night, Sat, and part of Sunday!! It was fun and the kids had a ball.

Friday night we were roaring to go- notice even the bikes got loaded, Tayden thought that was great fun!! I did pack half of the house, but we didn't want to go unprepared!
