Yes I was raised on a farm and it is normal to shear sheep, put hay in the barn, drive a tractor, pull a wagon, go on vacation around the hay mowing, can green beans, have a garden, make salsa, freeze sweet corn, chore, and well you know stay at home and work and get things accomplished on a daily basis. The house chores are not always the most important and laundry and dishes are a must to keep clean the rest... well it just falls in place!
A couple of Fridays ago, we sheared sheep in the morning, and put square bales in the barn in the afternoon evening!! Wow by 9:30 we were ready for bed and we felt like we had things accomplished!! It is amazing to me how I reflect on the morals and work ethic I was taught by living/working/ be raised on a farm!!

Glad to say at one point this summer I got all of this done in the same 12 hours!!!!!!

Summer
S- sleep in
U- up late
M- making a lot of meals
M- mowing the yard
E- eating lots of garden veggies
R -reading 2 great books
The last 2 weeks have been the restful relaxing, no hurry time of our summer! We have been home. The boys play, play, play and we have the neatest rodeo and fair in our living room, Tucker has a constant derby that never stops in his bedroom! Brandon has been laid off and they have been hunting a lot in the morning! We have spent a lot of quality time together the 4 of us, and oh yes he left for 3 days to hunt and such, and I made it with the boys non-stop!!!!
I am reading a good book, canning garden veggies, doing classwork, and preparing my brain for school in a week and a half. I called Grandma this morning and told her I was doing # 7,684, 000 load of laundry!!!!
So here is to the rest of the week and the peaceful, restful, relaxed, no hurry schedule!!!!
What is you last days of summer being filled with???

Stitches #2
Stitches #2 for our family of 2 boys happened the Thursday of the fair, but he was a trooper and it didn't slow him down much at all!!!
In transition to the doctor for stitches, he wasn't looking forward to them at all! He tried to get us to butterfly it and let it be. He found the hitch of a 5th wheel camper and ended up with blood all over!!!!
He is the wound!

He is the wound!
This was the sympathy picture! He really didn't like the needle or the poking. when Dr. Wirtenean told him to count to 10 he did and he got to 20 and said, "R u done, I am past 10!"
I will say it was a good thing his dad was around and for the first time ever the sensitive one said, "Mom where is my dad?". He also pushed moms hand away and reached for his dads! It is a little sad to me that he no longer needed his mom! (tear)
His father who is no fan of needles himself stepped in and watched the stitches and took over and mom stood back and let a few tears drop!!!
So each boy has now had stitches- tucker 7 in his knee, and tayden 5 in his head!!!!
What should a mom expect with 2 boys???????

Hay time
We helped grandpa put up square bales a week ago or so and the boys started off helping on the wagon... or just taking a free ride!
They were definitely checking it out to see what was going to happen and what needed to be done!
They were the happiest runners, they went after pop, gatorade and keep the dogs out of the way, that was their favorite job!!!! 210 square bales in the barn and we think ours will be in a week or two!
