We love the one with a black leg, we have another one that has a spot like a Holstein cow!

Discombobulated

discombobulated - synonym- confused - disoriented mentally.
I used this word a couple of days ago, when I was tired, it was raining, I forgot my keys, we were late, I tried to learn braille, ... all of the above.
It wasn't my day and truthfully this week has been a little discombobulated altogether. I could stand up at work and state, " I just don't have it this week, I will do better next week."

With all that said I will try to make it through today and tomorrow!

Babies...

Yes we are in full throttle at our house. We have 14 lambs on 9 ewes right now and 39 ewes left to lamb!! We have sets of twins, singles and do I have to tell you this is the funny story, that I am somewhat ashamed to tell.
Brandon as we are watching a 1st time mommy have a lamb tonight.
"Lori did you just push with her?"
Lori replies, "well yes, I can't watch her without trying to help."
Brandon sighs, "Oh my"
Lori repeats, " I know how she feels that is hard work, especially the first time!!!!"
I will post pictures as soon as I get them on the computer at home, or learn how to post at school with our new security!(note the lack of blogging!)

Need to go check on my new little mommy!

Sticks and Stones

Sticks and Stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
Sticks and Stones is a great picture book for young children to teach them that mean words do hurt us.
Sticks and Stones are fun to pick up out of the yard this time of year.

I read a book today to the little people in my world (students). It was awesome. It talks about how mean words and yucky attitudes stick to us, and it teaches how to turn away and say positive things to yourself to make yourself feel better!! I copied a page and put it on my door at school.

It is really important for me to be positive this time of year at school.

I will do my best to complete this 2010 -2011 school year, knowing that I have given it all my effort, I have taught Kindergarten 3 successful years (or we will see when test scores come back), I signed my contract to teach in Scotland County in 2011-2012.
Happy Spring!!

Being positive is contagious... So Smile!!!!!

Rambo

We are anxiously waiting for these lovely ladies to produce lambs!

Rambo is our new chore, (yes twice a day)! He will be raised by Tayden and shown at the D.C Fair in July! We are excited to have a baby calf and to show him what responsibility is other than the normal routine!!!
Rambo was a twin from Grandpa Jim and Grandma Charlotte, Thanks!!!!!!
