Update -- Chicks are still in incubation. We are 1/3 of the way to our goal March 13.
--Tucker is feeling much better.
--Tayden has hunting for 2 long days with his dad!!!
--We are ready for a new week!!
The month of February has been somewhat short for me in the working world, we are ready for warmer weather in March and hopefully not many(if any) days off!!! It was also filled with Sunday School lessons each Sunday by myself. The lessons were very meaningful lessons all 4 weeks.
1st- The Lords Prayer -
2nd- God loves us all no matter what you look like
3rd- Treat others as you want to be treated
4th- Jesus loves us-
Therefore I am trying to go back to the basics and remember what is important!! Happy Sunday!

Day 5
Did you know??????:By the end of the fourth day of incubation, the embryo has all organs needed to sustain life after hatching, and most of the embryo's parts can be identified. The chick embryo cannot, however, be distinguished from that of mammals.
We are still patiently waiting for the chicks, however we are also patiently waiting to loose the temperature, cough, wheezing, and sickness.... Tucker, yep you were right!!!!!

Day 2
The chicks are now approximately between 24-48 hours or 2 days. This is what is going on today, but I don't think we could hear the heartbeat yet!!!! For you information, the eggs are still the same, some little fingers changed the temperature just a little, but not for very long so we are going to cross fingers and hope. Plus those little fingers have been re-instructed!!!!
Funny story of the day: Tayden likes to play outside. He often goes out alone and plays for long time, by himself outside. Well this morning was no different. We were waiting on Grandpa to hay the sheep. When he came inside he was sitting on the steps. After the 4th time of instructing him to take his stuff off and eat lunch he chose to do so, but instead of making a mess on the entry way (cement), he chose to make a mess in the dinning room (carpet). Therefore his mother says, " that is fine, since you got mud all over the steps you can clean the steps with a toothbrush after lunch. "
silence for awhile with a few tears.
We were eating lunch and Tucker was talking about something-imagine that!!! Tayden was kinda crying and I said, "what is the matter with you."
Tayden replies, "I am going to have to go back to the dentist, my toothbrush will be dirty and I liked my toothbrush."
Mom says, "No I have old toothbrushes to clean with"
He successfully cleaned the steps and since he has taken of his stuff in the entry way!!!
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I have had 2 days just like my dad would have been.
25 hours: The heart begins to form.
33 hours: The ears begin to form.
42 hours: The heart starts to beat.
- We are still waiting.

Books
We like books at this house for the most part. Tayden yeah will listen to them, Mommy yeah likes to read, but doesn't get much quiet alone time to read and enjoy, so what is the point.
Tucker- well- he loves books and he know they are my weakness, therefore if he is in trouble, or it is bedtime, or he wants my attention he will say, Mom will you read me a book?
That is our trouble because I usually do or I say very grumpy, no not right now!!
Daddy at this house only reads hunting or golfing things!

Yes you guessed it, the one I spend every day with in the car for 1 hour, the one who shares my lovely profession , the one they say I look like, the one who also enjoys the same beverage as me on Friday at 4. She take books to a whole new level this week.
She got a new book High Heels to Tractor Wheels (Pioneer Women). The book is interesting it is a love story and since she is so IN to it right now guess who else is somewhat reading it (yep me)!
I know how it feels to read a good book and not want to put it down, I know she is excited to see the ending, I know it is funny and fun to read, but man alive she is about to wear me out!!
The bad news- I am pretty sure she is only 1/2 done!!! So here goes to another week of listening to the book, oh wait- it is her week to drive, I WILL BE READING AND SHE WILL BE LISTENING!!!

Cloudy with a chance...
100 % chance of meatballs. We are not avid football watchers, however this time of year we are avid Superbowl watchers!! It a great reason to have lots of food, cards and a few adult beverages at our house!! I prepared meatballs this morning and then went to church, napped, but I thought you might enjoy the picture of all 150 (I lost count) meatballs!!!!

My dad would often us this question as we talk about something, "Are you bi*^$ing or complaining?" My response to that today would be, neither, just stating a fact --that is a lot of meatballs!! Happy Superbowl 2011!!!

Snow-
This is the gravel road to our house!! Dad got stuck on Wednesday morning trying to get to us!! In the tractor!
Thank goodness for our warm house!!
The 2 boys at this house love snow! Especially the oldest.

--WOW --
This must be crazy, oh my goodness!! I don't know how else to say it but,
"It is Wednesday February 2nd and we don't have school again until Monday February 7th!!!!!"
There is a lot of snow!
There are major drifts!
My husband had to walk home from the neighbors last night and follow the fence line so he wouldn't get lost!
My dad had to come try to get us out and go cross country!
The roads are totally impassable!
We haven't seen anybody for 24 hours!!!
The kids were totally excited to see Grandpa!!!!!
Thank the big man above, we have electricity!! Thank the big man above, mom went grocery shopping Saturday! Thanks we have heat, food, lights, blankets, and a Wii!!!!! It might be a savior since we will be snowed in for 5 days!!!
This is history in the making!!!!
Memphis is closed until Monday, 4 school days!
Nobody is working today!!
The county workers are even getting stuck and going in the ditch!!
Snow storm 2011!!!
