Bittersweet

Well this morning for some unapparent reason I had a bittersweet moment. Tayden is going to Preschool on the bus like a big boy, getting along great, enjoying the days he goes and truly growing up to be ready for Kindergarten next year. Great I love it, it is part of life and he is an enjoyable child to be around.(most of the time). I leave them everyday without question with the world's best babysitter. It is a home daycare and yes Denny is awesome! In my eyes she rocks. If I can't raise my children 24/7 she would be the next greatest!! I left this morning here is the sweet part and that big 5 year old was standing in the window waiting for the bus and I started waving (like I did when he was 3 and Tucker was 1) and he waved back, I blew him kiss and he blew one back, his smile on his face showed it all. He was happy, ready for school and the bitter - completely okay with his mom leaving.
I wouldn't have it any other way and I am glad he still blows kisses and glad they enjoy Denny!!!

toys

My children have plenty of toys. They enjoy playing with trucks, barns, animals and dogs the best! I have shown a few pictures for all of you to get the real feel of how many toys we really do have. also- not all toys are shown!

This morning the boys got out several toys and I thought oh well it is a snow day, we will be home all day no big deal.

They continued to get toys out, therefore I decided we might as well empty the toy room, sort, clean and put only some toys back in the toy room, the toys that don't make the cut to the play room are going to land downstairs, in a large tub. (no gmas I am not getting rid of toys we are just downsizing)

They are truly enjoying all of the Stuff in the main rooms. Their mother is going to let them have a good time for about an hour, then we are napping and picking up!!!!!!

Why do boys love to wrestle?

Oh nice little boys!

Sticking their tongues out at their mother!

Oh nice little boy.

Does this say rotten?

#10

Snow day #10 today, or at least close to 10 days. We are home again today and full of energy. I am hoping to take some pictures of these little wild boys today so check back later for some results of our photo shoot, what else to do other than sew on my quilts and mend Brandons jeans (i will only break about 3 needles.)
By the way, I don't believe Tucker has had an accident since last Tuesday evening, therefore we have almost made it a whole week. I don't even think he has potted in a pull-up at naptime or bedtime since then(except Friday morning after the FLU episode i guess) anyway he is doing awesome!!!

update

I am blogging today to update any of you! The flu has been around for 24 hours with Tucker and now we are all up and going strong again!! Yeah, (keeping fingers crossed for the rest of us). Tucker is also doing an excellent at being a big boy in the potty training!!!!!

Tayden Lee is doing fine, I feel as though he gets left out some because he is healthy. We are going to have a mini school lesson in a few minutes to accomplish some letter naming and sounds. (trust me I don't push him enough) He continues to love shooting his brother with the nerf gun(it has been on the fridge, many times)

Brandon is hunting! He is all wrapped in coyote hunting and he is truly enjoying the fact, that his dad is hunting again!

Lori is trying to cut pounds off (maybe I should try using a knife instead of eating healthy). I also made it a full work week(only 4 days).

Friday

It is Friday and I hope you are all doing very well. The Bish household has the FLU, yep you heard me. I had a wonderful purse party last night, Thanks to all of you that attented. We got finished and the gal was packing when Tucker (y him first) started throwing up. Yep in his bed and I got to clean it. I will say that I did about 5 loads of laundry through the night, because he continued to have spouts of the throwing up until about 1:30!!! Yes thanks to my lovely mother I am at work today. (just sleepy) very sleepy!! I haven't had much sleep in the last couple of nights. Also it may be a good thing that we don't have any plans this weekend. We will probably continue to be sick!! Well hope all is well with the rest of you!

SUN

It is nice to see the sun today!! We are all getting tired of winter and so therefore I am happy to see the sun. I am trying to stay positive and it seems like the theme of the week is to be wondering if you have job security or not? At school we have been told that the extra amounts of money we enjoy making may be cut or not offered at all. At club Tuesday night two of the 12 ladies have lost their jobs in the last month or so. It is a little depressing and I guess I will just be glad I have a job and continue to pay the bills that I can!! Hope all of you are having a great Thursday and enjoying the SUN!!!!

Weekend

This is the precious little boy who has had a lot of mommy time this past week. Thanks to Aunt Missy mommy got a break Saturday night and thank to Grandma Suzy Mommy got a break Sunday evening. We have gotten along great, He truly has been a real champ, however we are struggling to make it to the potty when we have to go #2. We will keep working- this little boy has had a big month and it is only the 15th!!!

Yep- that is Tayden Bish in the height of his glory! He was helping load the 28 coyotes, that the group of hunters my husband hunts with killed this weekend. Tayden truly enjoys outdoors and his daddy. He got to go Coyote hunting with his daddy today!! Once again the height of his glory!

Sorry for the dark picture! This is a picture of the men and 28 coyotes.
My husband and one of his buddies are in charge of the annual competition hunt. We have now done it for 4 years. (i am the secretary lol)
They hunt against other groups, their were ten teams from Missouri, Illinios, Strawberry Point, Bloomfield, Drakesville, Ottumwa, Blakesburg, Fairfield, Eldon, and Pella. They all hunt to see who can kill the most amount of coyotes and it depends on how they perhaps kill them. I was in charge of recording all 166 coyotes.
The grand total of all men was around 200 and the total amount of coyotes killed in two days was 166.
My husband truly enjoys it and I don't mind helping him- glad we had today to recooperate!!!

Valentine

V- very fun
A- awesome dad
L- loving
E- excellent hunter
N- nice
T- teases boys and I
I - intimidating to our children
N - needs a haircut
E - eats most of my meals

My Valentine and I have been together for 11 years this summer. We have spent lots of time together and had some challenges along the way. We seem to be able to get through anything. I do love him dearly and he ceases to amaze me with his fathering ways. (alot like his dad) We enjoy doing things outdoors together with golf and 4-wheelers being at the top. He also knows that his wife can handle it! (sometimes that - it - is a challenge) I would not change things we seem to work well together to accomplish our goals. Happy Valentines Day!

C -L-E-A-N

Well since I have not been to work since Monday and I have been home with a little boy who has been a complete champ, I think my house may be as clean as it has been since we moved in 3 years ago July.
I have a couple of closets I could still sort through and don't get me wrong the basement is a disaster(all my clutter has moved down there), but the upstairs is clean or as clean as it is going to be (toy room is still scattered)!!! I will be doing great to keep it this way until Thursday! I am having a purse party-all of you are also invited!!!! Thursday the 18th from 6-7:30 open house style.

Entertain-ment

Well as some of you know I have two sisters and we love to entertain each other along with our children. As you may know also we enjoy the company of each other and it seems when it is all three of us-it becomes sometimes toooo entertaining.
Our husbands enjoy coyote hunting and are often messing around with various things. Therefore since there is a big hunt this weekend, I decided if Brandon was going to be gone, and Tayden is with aunt Missy that Tucker and I would find something to do. My sister Lindsay invited us for chicken nuggets and french fries for supper-Perfect. Tucker and I picked up her girls and went to their house about 5(our husbands went to a game feed-together). I have wanted to highlight my hair for the past couple of weeks and just haven't found the time to get it done. Great Idea we will highlight our hair and party with chicken nuggets and the kids can play. So we did, well guess who came over about 6 to join the crowd. Yep you guessed Leslie(actually I think her girls wanted to come over). They dropped the girls off and hayed cows. Then when Leslie and Blake got back we decided to do Leslies hair as well. It was fun and we survived three highlight jobs with one box. (I think we are a little sly on our coloring). All in all we had a good time, enjoyed ourselves, the kids enjoyed each other and being sisters and having a great time- just plain ROCKS!!!! Thanks girls for the assistance.

Nose hairs

Well I think my nose hairs have been burnt just a little. I didn't realize how much cleaning/bleaching I had done yesterday until I got up in the middle of the night and thought wow that smells clean. The kitchen and bathroom have officially been bleached. I will continue to clean through the weekend. Thanks to Aunt Missy Tayden gets to have a fun filled weekend this weekend also. She is taking him to the ballgame tonight and Pizza Hut and he gets to spend the night and go sledding tomorrow. He will think it is great and I won't be trying to keep the two wonderful boys queit. I would like to think Tucker and I will relax and enjoy it, but my lovley Valentine has a job for me on Saturday and Sunday. I am the official recorder of one of his lovley coyote hunting excersions. I don't mind, but I think I will be busy(hmm wonder what the pay will be). Sounds we could have a busy weekend, but that is okay we will be busy from home. Enjoy the wonderful weekend!!!!!!

Brown Bear

Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see? Yes that is the favorite book of the day!! We have read it about 10 times and it is only 10! Tucker is doing well still, a little more of mommys boy today and I am getting some things cleaned. Bleaching the bathroom- do any of you remember when I blogged about the urine smell. Well let me tell you, since the big 2 year old is peeing in the potty that urine smell has doubled!!!! I am also thinking about working on cleaning cabinets in the kitchen. All the stuff not used is going down stairs and this summer we are cleaning out the basement BIG TIME!!! Yesterday I worked on the kids closet and drawers and sent two garbage bags downstairs. I have also sent a fair amount of time rocking this little boy(so don't get worried gmas)! I think I could be a stay at home mom with only one at home. Enjoy your day!

Little boy

I am blogging with a little boy on my lap this morning. I am drinking coffee and he is drinking apple juice! We are getting along great, I am trying not to think we are doing awesome incase we have a bad day or two in the later part of the week. Tucker is very brave and obviously very strong! He didn't hardly cry yesterday and he never really complained! He was great last night and didn't sleep much until at bedtime he finally gave up and fell asleep on the couch. He slept all night and finally got up about 7. He did not wake up for medicine at all in the night and did awesome. We are going to try to go to strait tylonel today instead of the pain medicine. He has ate great and even had some chips and dip last night. The doctor said to let him eat whatever, that he didn't believe with all the talk about chips and red jello, therefore we let him and it seemed to go fine, I broke them into little pieces. Also he has been very active. He has been playing, talking, squealing, and playing with Tayden. Tayden is struggling a little to be quiet and calm. (shocker I know). Thankfully Tayden goes to school at 9:30 and won't be home till about 4:00.

As for Brandon and I, we got along fine yesterday, I only got lost once at the hospital trying to get back to the one day surgery after I had went to get Tucker a balloon! I was sure glad I went for the balloon also. I took him a package to open and it was new Spiderman underwear, well I decided to get a balloon to go along with it. He held the balloon and underwear until 8:00 last night. I finally took the underwear off the balloon and added a soft puppy animal, he still calls it his balloon and holds it some this morning. Wow am I glad I decided that we would get a balloon. We got along fine and made it through the day. Do I have to confess that there was a small part of me prepared for an even longer day. I was a little worried with all of his issues, that we would be there all night long. I was also a little worried that they would decide not to do the surgery. But I am thankful and glad god was looking out for us that things went as planned and we only had to stay about an hour longer than planned. Thanks for all of your calls yesterday as well!!!!! Well I had better go, I hear a few fast footprints behind me!

Church

We went to church this morning and our pastor is in Hondurus on a missionary trip, therefore we had an older man who preaches throw song come to do the "sermon". His name is Gary Russell from Bloomfield and he sang some great songs and was fun to listen to. Well when the children came up from Sunday School, thank you Lindsay for volunteering the month of February, Tucker asked who is that? I simply replied that is Gary. Tucker only being two said "papa Gary"(my dad's name is Gary). I said no Tucker that mans name is Gary also. Well I want to see papa Gary he says. Make a long story short, he couldn't get it out of his head, he kept asking to see papa Gary! We left and he was still asking if Papa Gary was going with us? If he ever hears my dad sing or he will understand that Gary Russel and Gary Utt don't sound the same and are not the same people. I thought is was very funny and continued to tell him that it wasn't papa!!! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Rockstar

Do you know what it feels like to be a rockstar? To have people tell you, that you did great and are so great! Wow that was awesome!! Well on Friday I came as close as I probably am going to get at being a ROCKSTAR!! It felt great- it was the same or maybe not quite as great as being on the State Volleyball team or the Tennis team, but well it was definately the closest I have been to a rockstar since I graduated High School and no longer have those teams to boost my self confidence.

Do I have to admit that the average age of believing I was a rockstar was 8 year olds. On Friday we had an assembly and the man asked the guidance counseler and I to pariticipate so of course I did(why wouldn' t I) it was throwing some type of ball and yes that is better for me than singing or dancing!!! After the small tasks of throwing and catching a ball with a long tail we had a seat and life went on! Well of course the kids thought it was great and the 1st graders (i had last year) thought it was wonderful!!

Make a long story short, it doesn't take much to impress kids and it is okay that they may be the only ones who think- I rock, at least some do. It was fun and definately reminds me of why I do my job. For updates, my class is improving their behavior and I beginning to enjoy MOST of them!! Have a great weekend!

cat

Well some of you may know, that my loving husband is NOT fond of cats. Therefore this morning when the boys and I left there was a cat laying on Casey's (the dog) blanket and I thought wow that cat is brave. Casey was out with the hound dogs so it was no big deal. But I remember her barking in the garage last night and I thought it was very unusual, well heeellllllooo Lori there was a cat out there. The crazy part is that this evening(thursday we have long days) when we got home it was still there. but not for long...
Like father like son, Tayden took of with a stick and chased the cat around the yard for about 15 minutes and then came in and said"I was getting rid of that stinkin cat"!!!!
Moral to the story- the cat probably won't come back!

If I was wealthy...

I would send our allergy doctor is Osky (Ron Graeff) a grand!!! He truly does care and is up for all the help and medicine he can when we call, even if it is 4:40 on a Monday afternoon and some crazy mom calls his cell phone.
As I pick the boys up on a regular routine, the babysitter(I would give her a couple grand- extra that is) tells me that Tucker has a small fever and is very wheezy. I am thinking - yes I thought maybe that would happen, he was breathing heavy yesterday and he was whinny this morning.- We were headed to Bloomfield anyway to grab a few groceries and get dog food. I called Dr. Graeff's cell phone because that is what I have programmed in my phone and left a message. In 25 minutes he called back and had a game plan, he prescribed medicine and told me to call with a report in 3 days. Therefore at 5:17 he called the pharmacy to put in drug order and by 5:27 I was headed home with the medicine. He truly is a blessing on days like today!!!!! Hopefully it keeps us out of the emergency room tonight!

Now what else would I do if I was wealthy... I don't know probably have the most elaborate classroom ever, pay a nanny to do the housework, not worry about monthly expenses, build a new house, buy more sheep, not worry about monthly expenses, give to the charities, go hunting with my husband more, not worry about monthly expenses, go shopping for a more in style wardrobe, not worry about monthly expenses - that one seems to be coming back to me!!!
