Fun Day Sunday

After pictures and visiting on Sunday we went to a family fun area with go carts, bumper boats, trampolines, and bumper cars, the kids had fun!
Tayden was not a big fan of the trampoline!  He was scared !
Tucker was okay as long as he didn't go toooo high!!! He was a little scared too.
Tucker and Grandma in the bumper boats.
Tayden thought it was more fun to drive than ride with his mom!!!
The bumper cars were fun to watch them!

Craig Family Reunion

The boys played with several cousins!  There were 92 Craigs at the reunion and they said that is the most so far to attend a reunion.
Grandma Chuck was the oldest original there and those are the kiddos with her!
This is the 4th generation and there are a lot of little ones.!!  Blonde hair must be dominant too!
The originals are in the chairs with their spouses behind them.  Left to right, Hershel, Marilyn, Marquetta, Margaret, Martha (Chuck), and Lois is a spouse of deceased Harold.  There were 9 originals Homer is very ill and couldn't make it and Hayden and Herbert are deceased also, but their families were all represented!
Tucker and some boys were making a fort with sticks!
 Playing on the rocks.
Clara helped grandma Chuckie down the path.
This rainbow was pretty awesome and bright!! Tayden is standing under it!!!

CO # 3 - Saturday

Saturday we got up and ate a great breakfast at the camper and cabins, then we headed off to the Rocky Mountains and Estes Park!!!  We picnicked in the mountains.
We got to see various different animals that live in the mountains.
The boys this is a little river that flows along the mountains.  It was cold water!!

The boys at the tallest peak at the mountains.  It was a long way down and we got to drive in the mountains and get out and see things!  (we didn't touch any snow, but we saw a bunch.)
Rocky Mountains in Colorado!!!!

Frontier Days

The Cheyenne Frontier Days were fun to visit on Friday!  The little shops were kind of neat!
 The kiddos minus the Smiths.
Tucker wants to be a bucking bull rider when he gets older so here he is with the Lane Frost statue.
The ironic part was, while we were walking around and looking at various things, they had a pee wee rodeo on stick horses.  Tucker and cousin Hayden entered and we watched.  They were both chosen for the bucking bull part and they had a stick bull that they got scored on their performance, Tucker got an 81 and won, so he has a trophy from Frontier Days Pee Wee Rodeo Champion Bull Rider!!!  ( i really hope this isn't the beginning of something)
Lincoln and Mayson were relaxed while watching the Rodeo!

CO #2

The travels were fun, a little overwhelming, and we had it pretty rough!!  The boys struggled a little with being confined for 14 hours, but we made it and it was fun we only stopped for fuel!!!
They only napped on the way, they refused napping on the way home!
 Co-pilot Grandma Suzy!!!
The pilot who only stopped when he had to go to the bathroom, and let me tell you I think we stopped twice on the way and 3 times on the way home!
We read, ate, watched movies, ate, rested, ate, colored, played, ate and ate some more!!!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the fun trip and letting us intrude your peacefulness!!!

CO #1

We had a fun trip and I have documented all of the states we visited or were in. Nebraska was long and straight!
Colorado was great weather and the mountains were fun!
Wyoming was fun and the Cheyenne Frontier Days were neat!
Home sweet home!!!!

Colorado Bound

Tomorrow morning bright and early we are west bound.  The Craig Family Reunion is in Estes Park Colorado on Saturday and Sunday.  The boys and I are going with my mom and dad and grandma Chuck (martha).  It is Grandma Chucks siblings and descendants.  When I was little we went every 3 years to the family reunion no matter where it was.  It was our vacation and we fit it in regardless of what was going on.  I remember missing a ballgame, going with a niece that was 3 months old, going as a little girl, going with my siblings because Mom and Dad were in the truck and camper!
I am sad to say I have not attended the last one 3 years ago in Colorado, we didn't go but the rest of the family did, and we were not planning on going this year, but things have change,  The boys and I are going Brandon is not because he has to work his job and cover for others.  The reunion 7 years ago was in Bloomfield so we did see them all then.
Wish us good luck as we travel 12 hours with a 5, 7, 85, 58 and 56 year old!!!!  Good news we are taking the motorhome, therefore naps and toys welcome!!!
See you Monday P.M.!!

The garden is producing because we are continuing to water!! Who would have thought?
I have canned 21 quarts of green beans (thanks mom) they were her beans not ours, but we have more planted for later, hopefully!
I canned 10 pints and 2 quarts of dill pickles, Thanks aunty Kathy they were from her garden.
I canned 7 pints of salsa- from 14 quarts of corn, and couple bags of beans.
We have enjoyed green beans, corn, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cantaloupe, cabbage, green peppers, onions, and potatoes from our garden.  It is so fun to go collect the goods each day or so!!!!

D.C Fair 2012

The 2012 Davis County Fair was a fun filled week.  Tayden showed a lamb in the novice sheep show.
Tucker helped Morgan show a lamb in the novice sheep show!

Tayden and Oreo did a great job in the Bucket Bottle calf show and he said it was his favorite part when I asked Sunday night what was your favorite part of the fair.
They both raced turtles, Tayden won his heat but then got beat! Tucker did a great job.
The pedal tractor pull on Sunday was fun and they did a great job.

The kids games on Saturday morning they were both winners!!!
We supported the BLT squared shirts on Thursday and Friday!!! Can you tell me what it means?????

The Fair was fun, we camped 7 nights and had fun!  The boys think it is fun and their dad is becoming a bigger fair goer than mom!!!!!  Yeah!!!  Next year we can have 2 bottle calf exhibits and maybe some open show lambs!!!!  We will see.  The biggest excitement now is that we brought home 2 new additions from the fair!  We now have rabbits- 2 of them, thanks grandma Suzy!  By the way the only animals not on our farm that was at the fair is turkeys!!!  Wow we have at least 1 of EVERYTHING!!!!!

Whew what a fun week!

Good with the bad

So February 2012 our mommy dog Casey had puppies, they were cute, adorable, fuzzy, and we like them all.  We kept the one white male and several others went to close friends, therefore we get to see them often.  T Bone was the name of our lovely little pet.  This morning when we went out to chore he was laying under the camper and didn't get up.  We aren't sure what happened but assuming he got hit by a car.  So we had a conversation about what happened and yes it is sad but it was just an animal and accidents happen.  Tayden is pretty sad and Tucker was sad but not as emotional.
We were sitting there talking and I told them he probably was bleeding on the inside and just layed down under the camper.
Tucker says, "His heart was probably broken and bleeding."  I said, "why would his heart be broken".  Tucker replies, " He thinks we are going to move and he is sad we are leaving."  I respond, " Why would he think we are moving?" Tucker says, "because the camper is up here and we are camping at the fair so we are going to be gone and he would be sad".

It seems to amaze me how those little minds work!
