Pickles, Pickles, Pickles

Can you say pickles. We have been blessed with many cucumbers!! My in-laws sent several (like 12 large ones) home with me last night. Therefore I have now canned 11 pints and 2 quarts of dill pickles!! My only hope is that they seal or everyone could be eating them the next couple of weeks, because our mouths would be sore. I have heard a few pops, but not near enough!!

By the way, 3 weeks from yesturday we will be in school WITH KIDS!!!

Sad but true

It is somewhat sad, but the summer is coming to a fast ending. In a few weeks we will be back to school, daycare, getting up early, and doing all of the things (laundry, dishes, sweeping) during the evening. I guess I should not be whining, I should be thankful that I get these last few weeks to enjoy.

Since the last time I blogged we have played, mowed the cabin for Grandpa (they are in Colorado), Lori finished 6th in the Womens City Golf Tournament. ( top ten was my only goal) and did I say we have relaxed and spent lots of mornings on the couch with cartoons.

Well that is about all, not much exciting at the Bish House!! Have a great day all!

What to do on rainy days?

After the house was clean, we had been home, without leaving all day, we decided to go to the basement to paint. It was fun to see the boys excited about something new!!
This little wild child actually didn't like to get paint on him, he keep most of it on the paper!!
The boys both seemed to enjoy it. No sure what the red creation was, but he had a plan of his own. (he normally does)

These were the kiddos at the Troy United Methodist Church Bible School!! They had a great time! Thanks to all that helped.

Kangaroo Sore

Today Tayden went to the doctor for his Preschool Physical. They (him and Dr. Cline) were talking about all of the normal things and Tayden says "I have this sore in my mouth." The nice doctor says well lets see, yep same comment as me, "it is a kanker sore." We leave and continue our day!!

On the way to town last night I told Tayden to tell his dad about the doctors office. (I was thinking they weighed me, checked my eyes and the doctor checked my boy parts.)
No the 4 year old says "She said it was a kangaroo sore."
I guess nothing else matters to him, just that sore in his mouth!!!! Gotta love what they come up with. Hope you all have a great day.

Seize the Moment!!

Seize the moment was the sermon at church yesturday!!! I think it was for me, simply because I hate to say it but we only have 27 days, (yes Leslie I said it 27 days) until we go back to school! Therefore I need to seize the moment every chance I get. Whether it is on the golf course, home with the boys, riding 4-wheelers with my husband or just plain relaxing at home, I need to enjoy it and remember it is summer, not all laundry has to be done everyday, not all dishes don't have to be clean each hour and whatever happens is OKAY, that is hard somedays with my two energetic boys!
SO ALL OF YOU DON'T FORGET TO SEIZE THE MOMENT!

Pictures

No the turtle didn't live up to Lightning McQueen last year. He got 2nd in 9 and under. Oh well it was good effort by both Tayden and Greeny!! (sorry for the fuzzy photo)
Yes this is the little boy in the red, that got a trophy and then they realized they had missed a time, therefore he got 3rd. Only 1 and 2 got trophies. I couldn't decide whether to keep the picture or delete it. He really doesn't have a trophy, but I did get a picture so we can make up our own stories I guess.
Well we had lots of fun at the fair!! Here are a few pictures!!! Gage a friend and Tayden riding the sizzler. (Yes he rode a couple of big rides)
Tucker was only okay with a few rides!!
Thank you Cecil for helping us show the lamb!! He got 2.00 and a ribbon!! Best part was when the judge asked for a high five and he gave her one and smiled.
The stick horse race!!
Yes we need to work on it. Tayden didn' t know the correct barrell pattern!

Well these are just a few pictures of the fair 2009! We had a great time and spent every day at he fair! We even got to spend the night a couple of times and the boys did great. Tucker was great at sleeping in the stroller and Tayden even napped on my lap once. So overall we had a good fair. Daddy even got to spend time with us, since he didn't build a derby car! We will probably go to the State Fair in August. For those of you that don't know, Uncle Bradly had the Champion Steer, therefore he will show at the Government Steer show at the State Fair.

No mother I didn't have the Utt Nuts but I did rest a little!!!

Wow

The boys are asleep and it is Sunday afternoon!! We have had an eventful fair. Turtle races, rides, tractor pull, scavenger hunt, animal, food, more animals, puppet show, dog show. Yes we did all of things along with eating and a lot of conversations. The boys have had fun and Tayden did everything great, even getting the trophy taken away he was a big boy!!! (they made a mistake at the tractor pull, they gave him a trophy and then took it away) not one single tear - that made his mom more proud than if he would have won! Well yes the fair is almost over, Brandon and I are going to the smash and crash Demo Derby tonight and the boys get to stay with Grandma!!! At least we aren't participating this year!!!!!!! Easier on mom's nerves!! Pictures and more detail to come!! Possibly tomorrow, but I am adding 3 to the herd on Monday I am watching the Utts, therefore pictures might have to wait till Tuesday we will see!!

Ready or not here we come!

Yes it is the week of the Davis County Fair and we (I) love to go, not miss a thing and be there just to be there. My husband gets a little concerned about what time I am up and raring to go. I think I remember the comment last year. "Why are you in a hurry?" Truthfully I couldn't give him an answer. I guess I don't want to miss a minute of sweating just to sweat, to be there just to be there, to watch the calves, to take another trip around the petting zoo, to play bingo again, to walk, to maybe see somebody again.
So as the Fair starts this evening and the animals get there tomorrow, we are ready for it all, or at least I am. Yes the turtles are alive for any of you wondering we have 4 to choose from, they have to wait until Saturday to race!!!

Also grandmas and grandpas Tayden Lee has been collecting change for the fair, his poor pant pockets have been full when we go somewhere he scrounges it up off the counter after daddy unloads his pockets, he picks out of the car, anywhere he could find a coin he did and put in a piggy bank, and yes the piggy bank was empty until about 1 week ago. We took it to the bank and he had 49.25 (wow). So thank you he has some fair money to use!!!!! Thanks grandma for the extra few cents to make it an even 50.00 !! Tayden says I have my own CASH!!! ( I thought I was going to wet my pants)

Giggles

Oh boy where to start!! These pictures our all from Thursday evening. We went to the rodeo and then it was Briley Jo Lough's 5th Birthday so her and Brett got to come home with us.
Tayden and Briley started off sleeping in the same tent, and Brett and Tucker in the other, well the 2 year old couldn't handle it so he ended up in his bed!!(bummer) and then Brett, Tayden, and Bri all got to sleep in the same one.

This was all of them getting ready to "camp" in the living room. Look who the biggest duck in the puddle is (it was his idea to put the tents up) They all look real sleepy to me. We didn't get home until about 11:15 and they were still giggling at 1:00.The little boy that can't behave, was great as long as there was a bucking horse, bull, or calf and horses in the arena. He was really pretty good. (The pink chair was a cousins, I promise)

I believe this picture was the beginning of the boot scramble, the kids took off a boot, put them in a pile then they had to run down and get the boot and run back. Wow lots of kids in the arena, yes Tayden is the little one with a teal shirt on!!!!

All in all we had a good night, the boys thought the rodeo was great!!

Friday the 3rd we spent the day recovering from the late Thursday night.
We also headed to Missouri to buy fireworks, there is something about the boys and fireworks we ended up with several!!!!
Friday night we got to golf in the sprinkles and we are thankful for babysitters. We were even home in time for the sitter to go out!!!
The boys are looking forward to going to Beater's (that is what daddy calls Nathan) to eat visit and LIGHT OFF THOSE FIREWORKS!!!!!!
Happy 4th to all of you, hope your weekend is as good as ours!!!

Giddy Up!!

Well if you can't tell we are ready to go watch those horses and bucking bulls tomorrow!! I believe the Bish Family is going to the rodeo. "Yep I am ready to go" comments Tayden

"Wow Mommy crazy horsey" squeels Tucker

They are pretending to be cowboys!

These two little butts with their names on their belts are just way to cute for this mom!!

Grandma Glenda (Brandon's Grandma for those that don't know) thought that we needed to be ready for the rodeo!! She had an extra gift (no they aren't spoiled are they) for the boys. She had gotten them both jeans and matching shirts. Tayden had a belt, but of course Tucker couldn't be without so he got one in the bag today also. (Tucker and Gma Glenda have a special bond, no matter who is around, if she is there he is connected to her.)
More than the special outfits for the rodeo, so they can be like the cowboys, we had a great day.
We drove to Memphis (yes I know the way well) to meet Grandma and pick up the outfits. We happened to be arriving at lunch time, so we had a great lunch with Grandma at the bowling alley!! (yes there food is great!) It was fun to visit (a challenge with two kids) and have a little special outing, that wasn't even planned!!! Thank you Grandma for lunch and for letting us spoil your QUIET lunch!!!! These days are the days we are thankful to have the summer off and a wonderful family!!!!
